With our building regulations having been brought into sharp focus following the events of last year, the construction industry is at a quality crossroads. All professionals owe a duty of care, not just to the client or those instructing them, but also to the end user, and it is critical that the professionals of the future deliver a standard of practice which exceeds expectations and deserves the public trust.
Attracting a high calibre of speakers from across the industry, the two-day conference will focus on how we can deliver more than compliance in the built environment. Through presentations, open mic questions and a discussion forum, delegates will be asked to consider a response to future challenges and responsibilities within the industry in light of regulatory reform.
This year’s speakers will present on a range of business and individual development-related subjects, alongside a detailed technical programme – the content of which has been chosen to promote debate and challenge convention. This year once again, we will incorporate a panel-led debate on what professional bodies and their members need to do to respond to new ways of working. In total, the programme will include over ten hours of technical content from government and industry experts.
Delegates will also benefit from a comprehensive exhibition from service and product suppliers who can assist in achieving high-performance, cutting-edge buildings. The CABE Annual Conference will include an extensive exhibition and a formal Conference dinner.
