This webinar will start by providing an overview of the present legal and policy requirements with regard to wildlife and biodiversity. Tom will then set out the direction of travel described in the 25-year plan and the elements that are likely to be brought forward in the upcoming Environment Bill.
The webinar will focus on the proposal to make Biodiversity Net Gain mandatory for all new developments covered by the Town and Country Planning Act, describing: what Biodiversity Net Gain is, the implications for developers and local planning authorities and then set out recommendations for how to deliver Biodiversity Net Gain while minimising cost and risk to development.
