Finance Manager

Reporting to the CEO, dotted line COO

CABE HQ, Northampton

This role is responsible for managing all Financial aspects of the organisation, ensuring at all times the organisation has effective, efficient and legally compliant accounting controls, administration and reporting and to ensure that all applicable administration and reporting is completed accurately and on time. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial and accounting aspects of the organisation, ensuring detailed, accurate and timely production of the Monthly Management Accounts and Reports
  • Oversee the financial management processes and procedures, ascertain and report on areas which need improvement and implement the necessary action plan to ensure proactive and on-going financial development
  • Manage and provide detailed reporting on cash flow, debtors and creditors accounting procedures
  • Ensure impeccable and detailed financial records; oversee that taxes and record filing are completed in a professional, compliant and timely manner and to the necessary government (HMRC) standards
  • Ensure the implementation and completion of all regular and annual accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
  • Communicate with outside financial entities on behalf of the company
  • Run Accounts Payable and Receivable Functions
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Management of Banking arrangements
  • Manage the financial accounting of the organisation's Benevolent fund
  • Lead by example to instigate a proactive and positive working environment for all employees regardless of role within the organisation to encourage high level performance and excellence in code of conduct
  • Write and submit the necessary reports required by the CEO

Key skills

  • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills
  • Experienced by >10 years
  • Relevant Finance or Accounting degree or certification would be desirable but not essential
