Simpson Strong Tie provided the technical presentation to the Eastern region on Friday the 30th of August with 17 members in attendance and which was presented by Laurence Parker, Simpson Strong Tie’s specification manager.
Laurence provided a brief insight into the history of Simpson Strong Tie and there global recognition in providing innovative building connections, fixings and anchors to make traditional building methods easier, and to meet with the ever changing requirements of legislation and the needs to aid emerging construction methods.
Simpson Strong Tie has its roots in the USA and now since its inception some 60 years ago has factories, distribution centres and offices worldwide and prides it’s delivery on innovating structural solutions to enhance building safety and strength, and is the respected global leader in this field of expertise.
Members in attendance practised in various fields and my continued thanks go out to those Members who attend as the Eastern Region planned CPD and networking events continue to once again grow in popularity.
A range of technical questions were directed to Laurence during and after his presentation who provided clear and concise answers and all attendees thanked him for an excellently delivered CPD presentation.
Member networking continued after the event whilst devouring the remainder of the excellent buffet and refreshments, and Laurence was able to distribute literature whilst also answering an array of further technical questions.
