The Region and, in particular, the Brighton Centre of Excellence which is based within the University of Brighton – Moulsecoomb Campus, was fortunate to have a technical CPD presentation delivered on 27 April by Vice-President, David Taylor, and on 04 May by Vice-President, Gavin Dunn.
David’s talk was on Design or Build Compliance and Best Practice Party Wall legislation and conflict and Gavin’s talk was on Sustainable Design.
Both talks were requested by Dr Kassim Gidado, who is the MSc Programme Leader for Built Environment and Civil Engineering at the University as well as the main supporter for the Brighton Centre of Excellence.
Early in April, the Region organised CPD events in Winchester on 03 April where members were offered a talk on Principles and objectives of fire resistant ductwork with Fire Protection Ltd.
On 18 April, members in Hillingdon were offered a talk by Cordek on Innovative solutions for construction, ground heave, gas and void filler and members in Farnborough were offered a talk by Timberwise on Woodworm and fungal decay.
