DEBUT FOR WEATHERING GRADE HOLLOW SECTIONS IN SPECTACULAR OBSERVATION TOWER

Tata steel

135 meters above sea level, the new observation tower in the high ropes park of Camp Adventure is now the highest point in the region. The opening was a highlight for Tata Steel: the corrosion-resistant hollow sections Celsius® weathering grade was used for the first time in a steel structure.

Compared to conventional structural steels, the low-alloy steel - forms a dense patina on the steel surface due to chemical additives of copper and chrome. This significantly slows down corrosion and extends the service life enormously. It is not necessary to apply or maintain a coating or zinc layer, which has a positive effect on costs.

mitsubishi arena MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC DELIVERS EFFICIENT COOLING TO M&S BANK ARENA WITH E-SERIES CHILLERS

The M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool is now able to deliver energy efficient cooling to audiences of up to 11,000 thanks to the installation of 46 e-Series modular chillers.

In December 2017, the Arena’s carpark, where the previous chillers were housed, was devastated by a fire, and the new chiller solution needed to be installed in the limited space on and around the Arena itself.

The solution came in the form of cooling only 90kW e-Series modular chillers, which are providing energy efficient comfort cooling to the Arena & Convention Centre. With a capacity ranging from 90kW to 1,080kW, they provide space savings of up to 35% compared to traditional chillers.
