SYKES PUMPS PROVIDES DRAINAGE SOLUTION FOR WORLD’s FIRST POLYHALITE TUNNEL
Sykes Pumps has provided three pumps to Strabag’s site at Wilton International in Teesside to help the contractor prepare for the excavation of a transportation tunnel for the world’s largest polyhalite mine.
Sykes Pumps is playing a vital role in the contractor’s site drainage strategy, with the supply of two MINIVAC eco pumps. Specifically designed for arduous applications, the MINIVAC eco pumps are capable of handling everything from clear water to free flowing sludge and slurry, and are often specified for mining, construction and civil engineering projects.
Sykes Pumps has also supplied a four-inch HYDRASET hydraulic submersible pump for use during excavation of a 15m deep pit.
LORD-LIEUTENANT PRESENTS ANCON WITH THIRD QUEEN’s AWARD
Ancon has officially received the 2018 Queen’s Award for Enterprise from the Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Mr Andrew Coombe, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.
This is the third time the company has been honoured by this prestigious award scheme that acknowledges outstanding achievements by UK businesses. Ancon-s 2018 Innovation award follows its Queen’s Awards for International Trade in 2015 and Innovation in 2012.

MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC EXPANDS E-SERIES CHILLER RANGE
Mitsubishi Electric has added new 150kW and 180kW modules to its existing advanced range of high efficiency, inverter-driven, e-series modular chillers to expand the ‘off-the-shelf’ offering to the UK market.
The e-series offers market-leading low noise levels and exceptional part-load efficiencies with an operating range between 8-100% capacity to provide controllable, energy-efficient cooling and heating with reduced plant size and a host of advanced features and benefits taken from the company’s experience in the air conditioning industry.
Available as cooling-only or heat pump versions, the new modules include a unique Y-shaped design to increase the intake of air and offer a greater heat exchanger surface area, delivering a highly efficient operation.
WALLYFORD READY FOR DIGITAL REVOLUTION
Energy Assets Utilities is playing a key role in ensuring that the 2,200 new homes planned for a major development in Wallyford, Scotland, will be at the leading edge of the digital revolution sweeping across the residential new-build sector.
