WATERLOO SUPPORTS THE BIG HOUSE
After securing a long lease on an old factory, Big House Theatre Company relocated to new headquarters in North London. The £300,000 renovation has transformed the building into a facility to support marginalised young people, including performance and rehearsal spaces, counselling rooms and offices.
To match the building’s rustic style, both Waterloo’s double deflection grilles and eggcrate grilles were installed. The double deflection grilles are part of Waterloo’s adjustable blade range, the vanes are individually adjustable to allow jet spread or deflection to be set within 45 degrees of the duct axis. Both types were supplied in an aluminium finish to add to the urban style.

STOVENTEC GLASS RAINSCREEN SYSTEM CHOSEN FOR NATIONAL MUSEUMS SCOTLAND PROJECT IN EDINBURGH
The StoVentec Glass Rainscreen System supplied by Sto UK was chosen for a museum collections centre extension project in Edinburgh, thanks to its outstanding aesthetic properties and its durable nature.
When used as an external rainscreen cladding system, StoVentec Glass provides effective thermal insulation for the façade by creating a ventilated cavity which keeps the wall dry and allows it to breathe.
The National Museums Collection Centre is an internationally significant facility for the research, conservation and storage of Scotland’s wide-ranging national collections. The new development will enhance the space and scope for scientific, conservation and research activity at the Centre.
