CREATING THE PERFECT ACOUSTIC AMBIENCE
Following an extensive renovation of the Experimentarium museum in Hellerup, Denmark, guests can dive into a virtual submarine safari, zoom in on the world of micro-organisms or travel through the Tunnel of Senses to explore sight, touch, smell and sound.
One distraction they will not hear is the loud echoes and reverberations from the noise and chatter of visitors as Troldtekt wood wool panelling has been specified throughout.
Troldtekt ceiling panels provide a very high-performance sound absorbing surface which absorbs and reduces the noise and reverberations bouncing off the interior hard surfaces. The suspended ceiling can also be removed or adapted to accommodate exhibition changes.

SAFER HEATING FOR SEN SCHOOL
Safe surface temperature specialists, Contour, have recently completed a project with Walton Hall Academy to provide LST safety radiator guards to the school that will protect students from burns and reduce the risk of injuries around their radiators.
Walton Hall is a special educational needs school in Staffordshire. Their previous radiator covers needed to be replaced to allow staff easier access for cleaning and maintenance as students were often pushing small items through the grilles.
Contour provided 19 DeepClean LST radiator covers with radius edges and bullnose corners, which eliminated the risk of children injuring themselves on sharp edges. The DeepClean design also features pencil proof grilles.

NEW OFFICE REFURBISHMENT AT EAST INDIA DOCK
As part of the massive £6m transformation programme, air terminal devices from expert manufacturers Waterloo Air Products plc were fitted in the newly refurbished office space for new businesses, Anchorage House in London’s East India Dock.
‘We were asked to upgrade six of the ten floors. Waterloo supplied all the grilles and diffusers. Most of the diffusers were fixed blade swirl diffusers in mill finish installed in the exposed ceiling.
The overall look of the refurbishment was really impressive. I also think that the advanced air-distribution system will work perfectly when the large office spaces are partitioned off and used for different things.’
