R.I.W.® Limited ADDS WATERTIGHT CONCRETE ADMIXTURE TO ITS WATERPROOFING PORTFOLIOkiw

RIW Ltd. has added Kryton’s innovative Krystol® Internal Membrane™ (KIM®) waterproofing product to offer customers a greater choice. The hydrophilic crystalline admixture is certified by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) and provides a simple, reliable and permanent waterproofing solution. KIM complements RIW’s extensive portfolio of liquid and sheet applied systems.
KIM’s Krystol® technology chemically reacts with water and un-hydrated cement particles in concrete to form insoluble, needle-shaped crystals that fill capillary pores and micro-cracks. By blocking channels in the concrete, it prevents water and waterborne contaminants from penetrating the surface. Additionally, any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate further crystallization, ensuring a continuous waterproof seal.

SMART PROTECTION FROM NULLIFIREnullfire

Designed for internal and semi exposed structural steelwork, Nullifire’s innovative intumescent basecoat, SC602, can be applied on-site by airless spray to provide smart fire protection.

Steel surfaces should be clean, undamaged and dry before applying SC602 and the Nullifire multi-coat formulation should also be used in conjunction with a suitable and compatible primer and topcoat. Once fully coated and suitably dry, SC602 applications can be exposed to the weather for up to six months as long as there is no interference from ponding water.

The equipment can then be cleaned using xylene (FC150). While SC602 is designed for on-site application, an off-site version, SC601, is available in 250kg drums.
