Built Environment Awards 2019 Terms and Conditions

• All entries must be made using the official entry form available from

• The entry form must be submitted via email to

• CABE will, at its discretion, accept additional supporting information via other mediums/file sharing websites.  

• Separate entries will need to be submitted for each award that a project is nominated for. 

• Entry opens at 09:00 on 1st February 2019 and the deadline for entries and supporting information for all awards is at 00:00 1st July 2019.

• Entries may be submitted by any person or organisation, including any CABE member involved in the nominated project.

• Any entry which fails to demonstrate the significant involvement of a current member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers will be deemed invalid. 

• Projects must have been completed during 2018 to be eligible for nomination.

• CABE accepts no liability for any inaccurate information contained within any submitted entry as it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide accurate information.

• CABE will at its absolute discretion disqualify any entries which it feels do not comply with these terms and conditions or where any form of bad faith is suspected.

• Any submissions for which compliance with all legislative and statutory requirements is not evident, and no satisfactory explanation is available, will be deemed invalid.

• CABE reserves the right to use material submitted in published form.

• CABE accepts no responsibility for lost or incomplete entries.

• CABE will contact all nominated persons and organisations to notify them that they are under consideration and request their written agreement to these terms and conditions.

• The Awards Panel will not consider the projects of any nominated person or organisation that fails to provide their written agreement to these terms and conditions.

• The Awards Panel will grant awards in accordance with the assessment criteria set out at
• The Association’s Award Panel reserves the right to refuse entries without giving justification.

• The Awards Panel reserves the right not to issue an award if, in the opinion of the judges, no entry reaches the standard considered necessary.

• The decisions of the Awards Panel will be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

• Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner on 3rd October 2019 CABE will contact all shortlisted parties and invite them to book a table at the Awards Dinner. CABE does not provide free attendance to the Awards Dinner for winners or shortlisted organisations.

• Award winners and shortlisted parties agree to the publication of their name on a local, national and international level and to participate in any publicity relating to CABE’S 2019 Awards and 2020 Awards.
