Building Control Survey 2024

Building Control Survey 2024

2024 is a key year for the built environment in terms of legislative changes and new measures coming into
force under the Building Safety Act 2022. The building control profession is to be legally regulated
for the first time as of April 2024.

In January 2024, CABE conducted a building control survey with CABE Members in England and Wales on the building control profession. At the time of this survey, the BSA had been implemented, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) had been delegated authority over the new regime of building control inspector (BCI) registration and the deadline for all BCIs to register with the BSR was 6 April 2024.

CABE is pleased to have received over 400 responses to the survey and can now share a summary of the results...
